Articles: User's Guide To SSI
Life is so simple when you first begin to sell things via websites. All you have to do is put up some banners and/or some text on a web page, interlink the pages to bundle them together as a site and your off and running. From then on it’s simply a case of repeating the process again and again and again.
After a couple of months the checks begin to roll in, the number of sites are growing from just a few to fifty or more and you’re almost ready to kick back and take a well-earned rest. But then trouble rears its ugly head.
That sponsor that you were doing so well with and that you included on every page on ever site you have ever built suddenly goes into melt down and disappears. All those productive websites are suddenly sending surfers to worthless 404 pages, your income stream that was once a torrent now isn’t even a trickle and you need to do something fast.
Sure, it’s just a matter of changing sponsors and replacing those banner and text ads, it’s no big deal; it can be knocked over in ….
And at that point the sad truth begins to sink in. Even if you only have one advertisement on each page of each site for that dead sponsor you are now looking at changing out over 200 ads if you only have 50 sites of 4 pages each. Of course if you have been pushing that sponsor for years then the time it is going to take you to make those changes becomes the sort of number that Webmaster’s nightmares are made of.
I have known people who have been faced with that problem and found it impossible to deal with. Many simply write those sites off and forget them and that is a terrible waste of time, effort and potential earning capacity. Others decide that making the changes or virtually starting from scratch all over again is too much and they leave the industry.
But what if you could make all those changes in just a few minutes? It’s one of those things that sound too good to be true but in this case it really is true. With a little forethought, a little planning and some maturity you can factor the unpredictability of this industry into every site you build.
Sure, it will initially take you a little while longer to build the sites, you might actually have to spend some time genuinely building a site and integrating your advertising into the site rather than just throwing a whole bunch of elements together and hoping for the best. You might find that, for a little while, it does become hard work but then isn’t a little more time and effort now worth a whole lot of grief later?

Customer Testimonials
Bobbie Writes:
"Due to a glitch, my link list script files were corrupted. No one could figure out what was wrong with it, nor could they figure out how to fix it (aside from a full reinstall). Thanks to Dan [of MrLinkList], I was up & running again in no time at all!"
